How the offers get here
Every day we check the flyers and catalogues that stores publish on their own sites and channels. Each page is kept as the store printed it, and every product on it is read: its name, brand, size, current price, the price before the discount and the kind of offer. Crowded pages are read twice and compared, a price that makes no sense is held back, and a flyer from which nothing could be read is not published. The full method is described here (in Arabic).
What makes it useful
- Unit price: the price per kilo, litre or piece, worked out from the size printed in the flyer, so a 4.5 kg bag can be compared with a 5 kg one.
- The same product across stores: offers for one product are gathered on one page.
- Price history: what the product cost in earlier flyers, to tell a real offer from a usual price.
- Only what is valid today: a flyer leaves the site the day it ends.
What SnapFlyer is not
We do not sell anything and take no commission on what you buy. The site is paid for by the advertising shown on it, which is labelled as such. Offers are not ranked in any store's favour. The price in the branch is always the one that counts, and stock is the store's to guarantee, not ours.
Ownership of the flyers
The flyers, logos and trade names belong to the stores and brands that publish them; they are shown here to tell shoppers about those stores' offers. A store that wants a correction, an addition or a removal can write to us and we act on it.
