What SnapFlyer does for your shopping
SnapFlyer reads the offer flyers of 40 supermarkets and stores in Saudi Arabia and Egypt - 22,587 offers live today - and turns the pictures into prices you can search, compare and follow. These are the tools, on the site and in the Android app.
1. Search every offer at once
Type a product the way you say it - "rice", "basmati 5 kg", "55 inch TV" - in Arabic or English. The results come from every flyer running in your city, cheapest first, with the store, the size and the end date of each offer. Spelling variants and brand names written in either script lead to the same product.
2. Compare the same product across stores
A product page lists the same product - same name, brand and size - on offer in other stores, with the price per kilo, litre or piece so a 600 ml bottle and a 1 litre one can be weighed fairly. A table sums it up: the cheapest store, the dearest, the gap between them, and the lowest and highest price we have recorded for that product in the last six months.
3. This week's cheapest prices
Every product on offer in two stores or more this week, with the cheapest store, the dearest and how much you save by choosing - the biggest gaps first, then category by category. It is rebuilt every hour from the flyers we read.
4. Tap a product in the flyer picture
Inside a flyer, each product on the page is a tap target: tap it and you get its offer - the price read off the page, the size, the price per unit - and the same product in other stores. It is how a flyer you would otherwise scroll through becomes something you can compare.
5. Shopping list
Add offers to a list as you browse, from any store, and open it in the shop. Each line keeps its store and price, so the list doubles as a plan of which store to visit for what.
6. Favourites and price alerts
Save the products you buy every week. Set the price you are waiting for on a product, or follow a word such as "olive oil": when a new flyer brings an offer at that price or lower, you get a notification - in your own city only.
7. Follow your stores
Follow the stores you shop at and the app tells you when one of them publishes a new flyer, limited to the stores that have a branch in your city.
8. Loyalty cards wallet (Android app)
Keep your store loyalty cards in the app and show the barcode at the till. The cards stay on your phone; they are not uploaded to our servers.
Where the prices come from
Every price is read from the store's own offer flyer and carries that flyer's dates. When a price looks wrong, the report button on the product page sends it to us and we check it against the flyer. Read more in how we gather and check the offers.
